Pastor Sam Whitaker has been serving the community of Willow Grove for over a decade, bringing warmth, humor, and a deep love for people to his ministry. Known for his friendly smile and approachable nature, Sam believes that the heart of faith is lived out in everyday acts of kindness. Whether he’s sharing a cup of coffee with a neighbor, visiting someone in the hospital, or cheering from the sidelines at a local high school game, he’s always looking for ways to connect and encourage.
Raised in a small town in the Midwest, Sam grew up in a home where hospitality and service were second nature. After completing his degree in theology, he spent several years working with youth and families before stepping into the role of lead pastor at Willow Grove Community Church. His messages are known for blending relatable stories, gentle humor, and practical insights from Scripture.
Outside the pulpit, Sam is a passionate gardener and amateur woodworker. He and his wife, Emily, love hosting Sunday dinners for friends and neighbors, where laughter and conversation fill the room. The couple has two grown children and a golden retriever named Jasper, who is often spotted greeting visitors at the church door.
Pastor Sam’s vision for Willow Grove is simple: to be a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and reminded that they are deeply loved by God. His ministry continues to inspire those around him to live with grace, hope, and joy.
